The actress, who has become an investor in two technology companies, has opened a new chapter in her life that is expanding gender diversity in the technology sector and generating some social impact. It seems that the actress adds herself to the celebrity team of emerging technology investment companies.
In an extensive interview with New York Times, Priyanka said, “You just hang out and you’re learning. It’s amazing. Geeks are taking over the world. If they haven’t already.” Taking to her Instagram the actress wrote, “A new chapter for me! I am so excited to partner with @bumble and @holbertonschool as an investor. I’m honoured to join two companies that strive to expand gender diversity in the tech space, and make a social impact for the greater good… let’s do this!!”
Priyanka who will be investing in the dating and social media app Bumble which founded Whitney Wolfe Herd and PeeCee will be helping in launching the dating app in India in the coming months. Her other technology-based coding education company Holberton School. According to NY Times, “The campus resembles a WeWork more than a school, with open-plan rows of desks, decorative neon lights and meeting rooms named after famous people. The school uses projects and group learning instead of more traditional courses, to teach software development.”
